Shipping/Handling Costs
We charge 10% of the order total with a MINIMUM of $6.00.
The shipping/handling cost includes not only the cost of postage but also shipping supplies, transport to the post office, fees for postage account and credit card processing, and the time involved in packaging and shipping the order. All of these costs apply on a per-package basis whether it is a small order or a big order, and that is why we (and most other companies) establish a minimum shipping/handling charge.
Normal Delivery Time
Please allow three weeks to receive your order. We now use a print and ship service, so it may take up to 2 weeks to process your order for shipping. We ship via US Media Mail, for the sake of keeping the shipping/handling costs low for you. The post office doesn't guarantee a delivery time on this class of mail. Most customers receive their materials within 3-5 days of the ship date. You should receive an email with tracking information when your order ships. If you do not receiving tracking info and if your materials have not arrived three weeks from your order date, please do contact us!
Priority Delivery
Priority Mail service is available for an additional cost. This cost is in addition to the 10% ($6 minimum) shipping/handling fee. We try to process priority orders more quickly, and of course, your order will be shipped by priority mail. If you have a definite need-by date, please email us from the website to let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
Returns
Please note: Returns must be pre-authorized by emailing us from the website or directly to statehistory@statehistory.net.
We accept returns with receipt within 30 days of the day you received your order. We will refund the product price in full (we do not refund shipping/handling charges), provided the material is received in new condition. You are responsible to pay return shipping, and media mail is most economical but takes a little longer than priority mail. Please do not simply write “return to sender” on a package we shipped to you via media mail. The post office will not deliver it to us if you do not put additional return postage on it. YOU MUST GET RETURN AUTHORIZATION FROM US BY EMAILING US FROM THE WEBSITE OR DIRECTLY TO STATEHISTORY@STATEHISTORY.NET. WE WILL RESPOND WITH INSTRUCTIONS AND THE CORRECT SHIP-TO ADDRESS FOR THE RETURN OF THE BOOKS.
